“Welcome Home!” The words echoed in my head as I walked into the elegant two story foyer at 3141 Kline Drive on the Little Neck peninsula. The Open House that I was visiting was triggered by my review of the home’s web site, www.3141KD.com, and the overall reputation that the Little Neck area possesses.
The home was bubbling with activity as eager buyers surveyed the property and envisioned their furniture and family enjoying the spacious ambience offered by the open and smoothly flowing floor plan.
I strolled to my right into the formal living room brightened by the tall windows. Toward the rear of the home, and open to the living room, was the large formal dining room – the table elegantly set for tonight’s festive dinner party. Passing through the dining room I veer to the left into the large, open, and bright kitchen. Glistening countertops and freshly resurfaced cabinets catch my eye, as does the large center island.
Continuing my tour and passing into the informal breakfast area, I look to the right and see the sun room tucked away overlooking the deck, private back yard, and marshes beyond. Into the family room with its soaring two story walls of windows I go, again marveling at the sun pouring in and at the private views, like the sun room’s and kitchen’s views. I decide to go back to the marble floored foyer to ascend to the second level, not taking the private staircase from the family room to that level. What a great convenience, I think.
Before going upstairs, I quickly check out the first floor bedroom and its private, full bath. I conclude that this will be a great guest suite or even a suite for our parents should they move in with us.
Eager to check out the master suite, I scamper up the carpeted stairwell. This suite is to die for, I think, surveying the corner fireplace and private balcony looking out over the back yard, deck, trees, and marshes beyond. Peeking into the master spa, I’m ready to jump into the huge jetted tub and enjoy the large glass walled, step-in shower. Mentally, I’ve already moved in.
Quickly I check the other large bedrooms and baths. Yes, they will be more than sufficient for my family and guests. I notice with pleasure the large upstairs “family room”, which can also be a bedroom, and step down the few steps to take in the spaciousness of the room. Should I make this my art studio or an exercise room or maybe even a private gym!
Getting ready to take the back stairs down into the family room, I gaze out over the large room. “What a great place to host my next party,” I think…..
Wandering back through the kitchen, I find Claudia Hudgens, the listing agent. “Claudia,” I say. “Where do I sign to buy this great home? It’s just what I need and have been looking for!”
One more time………Claudia Has Sold Little Neck!
